  • a month long campaign in December to raise awareness and funds for anti-trafficking work

  • in 4 years, $3 million have been raised by wearing dresses or bow ties during the month of December

  • there will be fun awareness events and social media campaigns leading up to Dressember that anyone can take part in

  • Started by two presidents of TAMU organizations

  • To raise funds and provide service for those affected by natural disasters and other devastating circumstances

  • There's a concert happening this Saturday where 5 living presidents will be in attendance with some headliner musicians (we have our retreat this weekend)

  • Crisis Cleanup

  • allows for relief organizations to connect volunteers to locations needing assistance

  • Houston Outreach Event

  • Big Event in Houston from 8 am-8 pm on December 2nd

  • Rally in NW Houston at 10 am

  • Adopt a County

  • Spring 2018

  • organizations adopt a county affected by Harvey

  • A Big Event will be organized for these counties

  • the Organization will be matched with a representative from that county

  • the committee is free to decide what date works best for everyone

  • Aggies 4 Mexico

  • 500+ schools need to be rebuilt

  • 50,000 families are without a home

  • efforts are to try to get supplies out to those affected by the earthquakes

  • Everyone NEEDS to RSVP even if you can't make it, so they don't cancel the event on us.

  • It's the kind of profit share you say you're with Aggie Blossoms at the register

Philanthropy Mayra Martinez (aggieblossomsphilanthropy@gmail.com)

  • Chocolate Sales

  • Where: Wehner and Blocker

  • When: 9 am-3 pm

  • Required: 2 hours

  • Wear a shirt for extra point

  • you can use your new fleeces as your "shirt" but they need to be zipped up

  • hats don't count

  • The sign up sheet will be locked 10 pm the Night before each day. if you remove your name after 10 pm the day before your shift, that will be a demerit.

  • Mayra will meet up with the people on the last shift to pick up the candy and drop it off with the group that starts the shift the next day

  • In terms of using Venmo, there won't be a sign at the table with Mayra's Venmo on it. But people CAN pay with Venmo if they don't have a dollar

  • Mayra's Venmo will be on the sign in sheet to give to the person who's asking

  • Make sure they put Chocolate Bar as the description

  • They are being slow in getting back to us, so if we haven't heard from them by this weekend, then the mixer will become just an Aggie Blossoms sisterhood
